The associations around the word ‘pot’ can be ‘hot pot’, ‘soup pot’, ‘clay pot’, ‘plant pot’, or even... ‘instant pot’. They are images that scream FOOD and COMFORT. This project is called A BIG POT because it is dedicated to food production activities, urban farming, food making and sharing delicious meals among different group of people and a multigenerational family.
A BIG POT desires to blend in with the urban context of Carlton, Australia; at the same time appear to be a welcoming place for any residents that walk by the houses number 2, 4, and 6-10 on MacArthur Place North of Carlton.
The project also explores how the residential of 2 MacArthur Place North could change over the next 30 years as a multigenerational household.
